Finpecia is a medication used for the treatment of male pattern baldness also known as androgenetic alopecia. Finpecia contains Finasteride 1mg. Finpecia is not intended for use in women and for treatment of baldness caused by insufficiency of vitamins, alopecia areata and other forms of alopecia.Finasteride works by inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase. This enzyme is responsible for converting of testosterone into its more active form 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone. Finpecia helps prevent hair loss on the top and front of the head. It does not help for receding hairline near the temples. Finasteride is not approved for use in women and children.Finpecia comes in the form of tablets containing finsteride 1mg.
